SEIDROB/SPR Award for best Iberian PhD Thesis in Robotics (2025)
The Sociedad Española para la Investigación y desarrollo en Robótica (SEIDROB) and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Robótica (SPR) announce the Best Iberian PhD Thesis in Robotics Award, intended for students who defended their PhD thesis between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.
The award consists of €500 and an official diploma for the winner. Finalist(s) will also receive an accrediting diploma.
The PhD thesis must be written in English.
Submissions will be evaluated according to the innovation contributed by the thesis, the quality and extent of the experimental validation, the results obtained, and the number and quality of accepted publications derived from the PhD thesis and co-authored by the PhD candidate and her/his advisor.

Requisites
- For Spanish participants: the student or his/her advisor must be a SEIDROB member for the year 2025 or 2026
- For Portuguese participants: the student or the advisor must be a SPR member for the year 2026

Deadline
The deadline for submission is July 1, 2026.
Award Ceremony
The award will be presented during the ROBOT 2026 conference, to be held at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria Industrial de Barcelona (ETSEIB-UPC) from November 18 to 20, 2026.
